It is important to us to handle your private information carefully. Below you will see how we handle your private information (in accordance with the GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation).
Why do we ask for your name, address, telephone number and e-mailaddress when you place an order?
When you order from us, we need a few private details to be able to process and send the order. We use your name and address to ensure the order is delivered. To do so we employ services from Shops United, PostNL and DHL. These processors/deliverers use the appropriate details solely when required to abide by the agreement we have with them. Your telephone number will be used in the eventuality that we need to contact you about your order. We use your emailaddress to send you a confirmation of your order as well as a track & trace number (in the case of parcel post) so you can track your order. In some cases we will contact you via email about your order.
You can choose to order as a guest or to make an account
It is not obligatory to make an account; you can also place a one-off order as a guest. Making an account is useful because you don’t need to repetitively put in your private details. It allows you to print your invoices and it allows you to view previous orders. When you create an account we keep these details until you let us know you don’t wish to use this account anymore. You can always check these details yourself or change them by logging into your account. If you wish to have your account removed for any reason whatsoever, you can send us a request via email or post. We will then remove you from our client database as quickly as possible.
You can sign up for our newsletter
When you make an account, you can choose to register for a subscription to our newsletter. We will only send you newsletters if you have signed up for this. You will receive about 1 newsletter a month. You can choose to unregister at any time. At the bottom of the newsletter you will find a link to unregister so you can handle it yourself. After this you will no longer receive any newsletters from us.
Which details do we have and how do we handle these?
You have a right to know which of your private details we have. You can send us a request to provide these details. We must meet this request within 30 days of it being sent in. If you ask us to inspect or remove your account we are obligated to check your identity.
We will only pass your private details on to external parties if this is absolutely necessary for our service or to fulfil accounting or other administrative duties. We have made agreements with our partners which includes the protection of the privacy and security of privacy details. We will never sell your details to third parties for commercial reasons!
Our administrative duties
We are obligated to keep invoice and payment details in our administration for 7 years. This obligation has been prescribed to us by the tax department.
Security of our website
Our website is secured with an SSL security certification. We save the private details in a secure database within the European Union. No private details will be passed along to countries outside the European Union.
