Other swimming vests:
Swimming vest with adjustable floating ability
: a swimming vest can be used to let a child (or adult) get used to the water safely or to let them learn how to swim. In England these swimming vests are used also used for swimming lessons.

Adjustable floating ability: What’s special about Splash About swim vests, is that you can adjust how well they float. The swim vests have, in total, 8 compartments, each with 2 floaters atop each other. So in total there 16 floaters in the swim vest. The floating ability of the swim vest can thus be adjusted to the individual needs of the child (or adult). Because of the 16 floaters in the vest, it can be adjusted quite accurately.

3mm Neoprene: the swim vest is made out of 3mm of soft and flexible neoprene (wetsuit material) and fully finished with a nylon coating, which allows the child to stay nice and warm while they swim. The swim vest has a sturdy YKK zipper on the front. Floaters made out of closed cell foam: the floaters in the swim vests are fabricated out of a high quality closed cell foam. The benefits to using this cell foam is that it is durable and easy to use (does not crumble or rip). There are two floaters in every compartment (16 in total). Because of this the floating ability of the swim vests are very easily adjusted to every user’s needs.

Optimal freedom of movement: The child has optimal freedom of movement because it can move its arms freely even with the vest on (the child will not need water wings or inflatable armbands anymore). The swim vest keeps the child in the right position while the floating ability gives the child confidence. The child can fully focus on learning how to swim.

By lowering the floating ability, the size of the vest does not change (unless you want it to), in comparison to other brands. If the swim vest gets too small at some point, then you can not only remove floaters from the bottom row but also from the top row (so 2 atop each other). This will make the swim vest a bit wider.

Has been extensively tested: The swimming vests have been extensively tested for quality and safety and have the CE hallmark CE mark EN 13138-1:2003.

Maximum protection against the sun UPF 50+: Like the rest of our assortment, all swim vests protect against UV radiation and offer maximum sunblock (UPF 50+).

On average a child of 14 to 16 months has developed enough mentally and physically to be able to swim with a swim vest. The child has to practice with the parents first though before it can try without their help.

The swim vests are available in the following sizes:

1-3 years – 3-6 years – 6-10 years – 10-14 years – Small – Medium – Large

The sizes 6-10 years and above are only available in plain colours.

Also suitable for the disabled: This swim vest is for example also available for children or adults with a handicap, problems with equilibrium, or for children and adults who, because of a certain ailment, are not able to keep themselves afloat very well.

Handy tips:

– the swim vest is also ideal for snorkelling!

– the swim vest can also be worn back to front so the child cannot reach the zipper.
